Rory Darge, Shaun Gunn, Iain Sim and Patrick Anderson are four young talented players who have been added to the Southern Knights squad.

Rory Darge is an exciting back row player who started rugby at North Berwick RFC. The Scotland U20 star is a stage three Fosroc Academy player who, when he’s not playing for the Southern Knights, will be playing for Edinburgh Accies in the Tennent’s Premiership.

Shaun Gunn a Scotland U20 player, hails from Caithness, where he began playing rugby. He is another stage three Fosroc Academy player aligned to Edinburgh Accies when not with the Southern Knights.

Iain Sim is a formidable winger who has pace to burn. An athlete, and Scotland U18 cap, he started playing rugby at Duns RFC and played for both Morley RFC and Leeds Becket University whilst studying there. On returning to the Borders Iain played for Kelso before joining Melrose in 2018.

Patrick Anderson, also originally from Duns RFC, is an unpredictable centre who can find a hole in any defence. Patrick joined the U18 Melrose Wasps in 2013 and has worked his way up Scottish age-grade squads representing his country at Scotland U18 and U20, before playing in the Scotland Club International squad last season.
