Selkirk Sevens – 9/5/26
Melrose met Watsonians in the first round at Selkirk with both teams being short of full strength due to injuries and nuptials. Melrose woo that tie 28-5 before beating Durham University 17-12 in the Quarter Final. Eventual winners Kelso proved too strong in the Semi-final scoring three tries by Murray Woodcock (2) and Dwain Patterson to one for Melrose by Harry Makowski giving Kelso a 19-7 victory. In the Final Kelso defeated Currie 40-10.
