YOUTH RUGBY
Melrose Rugby has a large and active Youth Section. Boys and girls of all ages and abilities are welcome to come along and develop their rugby skills, participate in a wonderful team sport, and make friends for life. All our coaches are SRU Coach qualified and PVG checked, so the kids can grow in a fun and safe environment. Our Youth Section consists of Hornets (ELC - P7), Queen Bees (secondary school aged girls), and Wasps (boys from U-13 to U-18.)
HORNETS
ELC - P7
We welcome boys and girls to the 3G Pitch at The Greenyards to enjoy running, jumping and learning basic skills in a safe, friendly environment. Hornets Rugby encourages your child to get physically active, whilst improving their coordination, speed and balance. Our coaches will help build their confidence through fun games with the oval ball in a safe and secure environment.
QUEEN BEES
U12 - U18
Melrose Rugby in conjunction with Earlston High School provides a great opportunity for Secondary School aged girls to continue their rugby journey. We encourage the growth and development of physically better players by improving fitness, skills and ‘rugby knowledge’. We also create the right environment to help girls to develop critical life skills through team sports, such as leadership, teamwork and problem solving. Every training session is carefully planned in advance to make them fun and challenging. Our Queen Bees play Sevens Rugby, travelling to tournaments around the country, and creating life long memories and friendships.
WASPS
S1 - UNDER 18’S

We encourage the growth and development of physically better players by improving fitness, strength, skills and ‘rugby nous’. We also create the right environment to help boys to develop critical life skills through team sports, such as leadership, teamwork and problem solving.
