Melrose Rugby Bulletin - 2/9/25
Afternoon Folks,
Hope everyone's week is going well & you've caught up with the scores from the weekend on the website. All in all it was a successful Saturday with all teams winning at Haddington & some good rugby played. Not such a great day at GHA - a real skirmish, with the team from the West taking the win in injury time. Not much fun for our boys on a dreich & heavy going afternoon. Iain's match report with Andy's photos is up on the website. You can read it by clicking on the button.
I've had a few people ask where they find info on scores & the following week's games, I aim to get the website updated on a Monday if possible. If you head to the website, scroll down and you'll see 'Upcoming Fixtures' with the next games for the 1XV, Storm, U18 & U16 teams, under that you'll find, 'Latest Results' for those 4 teams. You should also be able to access Match Reports and photos if there are any. Keep scrolling and you'll find shortcuts for the most recent match report, the Rose, this bulletin and any current news. If you scroll up to the top of the page, you'll see the main menu tabs. To find out about upcoming games, click on 'Fixtures & Results' and you'll see both the IXV & Storm fixtures & results. Will work on getting the junior teams up too!
We put as much info as possible on our social media channels, it's always worth popping on there to see if there are last minute changes too.
📆Thursday's 7s Meeting📆
We just wanted to remind everyone that we're holding a members presentation/forum to review the 2025 Melrose 7s format & discuss the proposed format for 2026 this Thursday. We hope as many of you as possible will attend to listen to the plans and share your ideas. It would be great to get an indication of numbers, so we'd be grateful if you could let me know if you're planning to come. Just drop me an email at: office@melroserugby.org.

This Weekend's Rugby
There is heaps of Rugby this weekend. Games do sometimes change, so please check on socials or the website before heading down to the club. Our Hornets Festival is on Sunday, and there will be lots going on. As well as the rugby there will be a BBQ, a Cake & Candy stall, a second hand kit stall and a kicking target practice!
Events at the Club
As I'm sure you're all aware, it's Ladies Day at the club this week, the next big event is on Saturday 20th, which is the weekend Currie visit the Greenyards. That day we'll be celebrating Ex-Players & Supporters! If you are planning on coming for the lunch, please do book through the website, so we can keep track of who is coming! Click on the button below the graphic to secure your place!
Will leave it there for now & wish you all a good week, hope to see lot's of you down at the Greenyards! If you have still to pick up your membership card, there will be a box at the gate with those that are still to be picked up. I'll do a mailing of the country member cards & full member's cards who are not local, next week.
All the very best
Hilary
